Countdown to National Breast Cancer Awareness Month – October 2013
via Donna Guinn Kaufman
Official notification from Capitol Hill states that as a result of the passage of H.J.Res. 117, the Continuing Appropriations Resolution 2013, votes are no longer expected during the week of October 1. This is a change from the original House Calendar. This means that Congress will not be in session for the entire month of October (National Breast Cancer Awareness Month) as originally scheduled and won't be back til after the elections. As such, we are forced to cancel Young Women Surviving Breast Cancer Day on Capitol Hill scheduled for October 1. We'll reschedule after the elections. Thank you for your patience.
